I'm a doctoral researcher at WelGain, a project funded by the Research Council of Norway examining the "visibility bias" in welfare policy evaluation. I am also PhD candidate in Social Sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) under the supervision of Prof. Roberto Iacono. I hold an MSc in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School (Germany) and a BSc in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia).

Before joining NTNU, I spent over five years in research and consultancy. Most recently, I worked as a pre-doctoral researcher at the International Security and Development Center (ISDC), designing and analyzing randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and other impact evaluations to assess welfare interventions in humanitarian contexts across the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Earlier, I worked as a junior researcher at CoreWoman, using quantitative methods to evaluate programs on gender-lens investing, the care economy, and financial inclusion across the Global South; as a data visualization consultant on a project with the Alliance of Bioversity International; and as a research and data assistant at the Applied Economics Lab (LEA) of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

My research interests lie at the intersection of applied microeconomics, causal inference, and machine learning, with a particular focus on evaluating the effectiveness of welfare and social protection policies.
